The Trees of Christ

The Trees of Christ

  1. A Planter

  2. The Seed

  3. The Ground

  4. The Season/Seasons

  5. The Harvest

Just like a tree, our spiritual journey follows an order. To blossom and bear fruit as we were created to, we must understand the process and characteristics of the Tree we come from—Yahushua.

1. A Planter and the Word

We cannot live by physical bread alone. True life comes from the Word of Yah. Yahushua showed us that the source of spiritual strength is the Word.

Luke 4:4"And Yahushua answered him, saying, It is written, That man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word of Yah."

Yahushua is the Way, the Truth, and the Life. There is no other way to the Father.

John 14:6"Yahushua saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me."

2. The Seed and the Ground

When the seed (the Word) is sown into our hearts, its growth depends on the condition of our heart. Are we the good ground, or is our heart hardened, shallow, or choked by thorns?

Matthew 13:18–23"Hear ye therefore the parable of the sower. When any one heareth the word of the kingdom, and understandeth it not, then cometh the wicked one, and catcheth away that which was sown in his heart. This is he which received seed by the way side. But he that received the seed into stony places, the same is he that heareth the word, and anon with joy receiveth it;Yet hath he not root in himself, but dureth for a while: for when tribulation or persecution ariseth because of the word, by and by he is offended. He also that received seed among the thorns is he that heareth the word; and the care of this world, and the deceitfulness of riches, choke the word, and he becometh unfruitful. But he that received seed into the good ground is he that heareth the word, and understandeth it; which also beareth fruit, and bringeth forth, some an hundredfold, some sixty, some thirty."

3. The Root and Growth

When we delight in the law of Yah, we become deeply rooted like a tree beside water—constantly nourished, unshakable, and fruitful.

Psalm 1:1–3"Blessed is the man that walketh not in the counsel of the ungodly, nor standeth in the way of sinners, nor sitteth in the seat of the scornful. But his delight is in the law of Yah; and in his law doth he meditate day and night. And he shall be like a tree planted by the rivers of water, that bringeth forth his fruit in his season;his leaf also shall not wither;and whatsoever he doeth shall prosper."

4. Maturity and Flourishing

The righteous grow strong and tall like the palm tree and cedar—unshaken and deeply rooted in Yah.

Psalm 92:12"The righteous shall flourish like the palm tree: he shall grow like a cedar in Lebanon."

We are filled not only with physical water, but with the living water that comes from Yahushua. That water transforms us from the inside out.

John 4:10–14"Yahushua answered and said unto her,If thou knewest the gift of Yah, and who it is that saith to thee, Give me to drink;thou wouldest have asked of him, and he would have given thee living water. The woman saith unto him, Sir, thou hast nothing to draw with, and the well is deep: from whence then hast thou that living water?Art thou greater than our father Jacob, which gave us the well, and drank thereof himself, and his children, and his cattle?Yahushua answered and said unto her,Whosoever drinketh of this water shall thirst again:But whosoever drinketh of the water that I shall give him shall never thirst;but the water that I shall give him shall be in him a well of water springing up into everlasting life."

5. The River Within

Faith in Yahushua produces a supernatural source of nourishment within us.

John 7:38"He that believeth on me, as the scripture hath said, out of his belly shall flow rivers of living water."

6. The Season and Anointing

Even in our darkest seasons—mourning, loss, pain—Yah sends comfort, healing, and anointing. We are called trees of righteousness, planted by Yah for His glory.

Isaiah 61:1–3"The Spirit of the Lord (Yah) Yah is upon me; because Yah hath anointed me to preach good tidings unto the meek;he hath sent me to bind up the brokenhearted, to proclaim liberty to the captives, and the opening of the prison to them that are bound; To proclaim the acceptable year of Yah, and the day of vengeance of our Yah; to comfort all that mourn; To appoint unto them that mourn in Zion, to give unto them beauty for ashes, the oil of joy for mourning, the garment of praise for the spirit of heaviness;that they might be called trees of righteousness, the planting of Yah, that he might be glorified."

7. The Connection to the Tree

Lastly, Yahushua reminds us that we are not the source—we are the branches. He is the vine, the Tree. We must remain connected to Him to bear fruit.

John 15:5"I am the vine, ye are the branches: He that abideth in me, and I in him,the same bringeth forth much fruit: for without me ye can do nothing."

Final Reflections

  • Who is planting in your life?

  • What kind of ground is your heart right now?

  • Are you connected to the Tree and flowing with living water?

  • Are you flourishing in your season or needing pruning?

  • Is the fruit of your life nourishing others?
