Don’t Become a Judas to Your Calling

A call to examine the heart, humble ourselves, and remain surrendered to the Father.

This thought came to me during meditation and prayer:

Don’t become a Judas to your calling.

Judas walked with the Messiah. He heard the truth, witnessed the miracles, and remained close to the ministry. Nevertheless, his heart was not fully surrendered.

His life reminds us that being near holy things is not the same as yielding our hearts to the Father. Calling, knowledge, and outward participation can never replace sincere obedience.

This message is not an invitation to search for “Judas” in someone else. It is a call to examine the person in the mirror.

“Examine yourselves, whether ye be in the faith; prove your own selves.”—2 Corinthians 13:5

Are there desires we have placed above the Father’s will? Are pride, personal ambition, offense, fear, recognition, or gain quietly competing with our calling? When correction comes, do we humble ourselves—or defend what the Father is asking us to surrender?

Israel was often stiff-necked, yet the Father repeatedly extended mercy. The history of our foremothers and forefathers was preserved not so that we could exalt ourselves above them, but so that we could learn, repent, and choose differently.

Mercy is not permission to remain unchanged. It is an opportunity to return, realign, and allow the Father to transform our hearts.

We cannot overcome self-will through our own strength. We must ask Him to change our desires until what pleases Him becomes more important than what pleases us.

“Search me, O God, and know my heart: try me, and know my thoughts.”—Psalm 139:23

Let us remain humble enough to examine ourselves and surrendered enough to respond when He reveals what must change. Judas faked it—and he did not make it. Let us remain with Yahuah and follow the example Yahusha left for us:

“Nevertheless not my will, but thine, be done.”—Luke 22:42

Prayer

Father, search my heart and expose anything within me that is resisting Your will. Remove pride, hidden motives, selfish ambition, and every desire I have placed above You. Give me a clean heart and a willing spirit. Help me honor the calling You have placed upon my life—not merely through my words, but through sincere obedience. Align my heart with Yours and lead me in the way everlasting.
